Foster Grant is very proud to be a sponsor of the Ironman World Championship, which this year takes place on October 13th in Kona, Hawaii. Foster Grant has sponsored this event for the last several years. The Ironman World Championship is the pinnacle of triathlete competitions. Tens of thousands of triathletes try to get a spot in the World Championship ever year but only 1,700 succeed.
In addition to sponsoring the event Foster Grant is sponsoring a local triathlete in 2007. Amy Rice of Wakefield, RI will be representing Foster Grant in Hawaii in her attempt to be a top finisher in her age group. Everyone at FGXI wishes Amy the very best in her quest and will be in attendance to cheer her on as she crosses the finish line.
